Biography

Political
Senator Randy Brogdon was elected to his first term in the Oklahoma Senate in 2002. His district includes large portions of the Tulsa suburban area, including Owasso, Collinsville, Catoosa and the fast growing areas of northeast of Tulsa and Rogers County. He started his political career by serving on the Owasso City Council, and later elected as Mayor.

In 2003 the Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee (OCPAC) named him "Legislative New Comer of the Year." In his first year he had a "perfect voting" record-not missing a single vote for the entire session.

In 2004 and again in 2005 OCPAC selected him as "Legislator of the Year." He had the highest conservative voting record in the Senate and once again had a near perfect voting record.

For the 2005-2006 legislative session he was elected to a leadership position by his caucus to serve as Senate Republican Whip.

His legislative service has included being the champion of attempts to bring critically needed Tax reform to Oklahoma, including the introduction of the Oklahoma Taxpayers' Bill of Rights (TABOR).

He sits on the Committees of Business and Labor, Transportation, Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, Energy and Environment, Retirement and Group Health, and Veterans and Military Affairs

Personal
Senator Brogdon has been married to his high school sweetheart Donna for 34 years. They have two grown sons, Chris and Bryan and a daughter-n-law Jessica. He is active in his church at Woodlake Assembly of God. He teaches a young adult Sunday School Class, and has served on the church board.

Senator Brogdon was born in Ardmore and raised in Tulsa. He attended Tulsa Public Schools and Oklahoma State University School of Technology, studying Air Conditioning at the Okmulgee campus in the early 1970's.

Randy Brogdon has been a successful business owner for over 30 years in the Air Conditioning industry. Currently he is the Regional Sales Manager for Hardin Geo-Technologies, a company specializing in Geo-Exchange heating and cooling.

He is a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. He serves on the advisory board for Hardin Geo-Technologies and ONB Bank in Owasso.

He and his wife, Donna, make their home in Owasso.
